Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications accurately using provided automated dispensing systems
- Manage inventory and stock shelves with digital tracking tools
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records
- Assist pharmacists with compounding and sterile preparations
- Provide exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
- Maintain compliance with FDA and Texas State Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy-specific equipment including pill counters and barcode scanners
Qualifications
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician license or eligible for immediate registration
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience with equipment operation
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Proficient in pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently with provided automated dispensing equipment
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
