Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications using automated dispensing systems
- Manage inventory and ordering of pharmaceutical supplies via digital tracking systems
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records with HIPAA-compliant software
- Assist pharmacists in compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations
- Provide patient education on medication usage and side effects
- Maintain clean, organized pharmacy workspace and equipment calibration logs
Qualifications
- Active PTCB certification or Georgia pharmacy technician license
- Minimum 1 year pharmacy experience (new graduates welcome with training)
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Background check and drug screen required
