Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications using provided automated dispensing equipment
- Manage inventory with digital tracking systems and compounding tools
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records via pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional patient counseling on medication usage and side effects
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure prescription accuracy and compliance
- Maintain sterile compounding environments using provided safety equipment
- Train on new pharmacy technologies and equipment as implemented
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years of pharmacy tech experience with equipment operation
- Certification from PTCB or ExCPT preferred
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS1)
- Strong attention to detail and HIPAA compliance knowledge
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required
