Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately receive, verify, and dispense prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, prepare orders, and manage the pharmacy inventory to ensure medications are always available.
- Customer Service: Greet patients warmly, answer questions regarding insurance co-pays and medication refills, and provide excellent service.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine checks to ensure the accuracy of all prescriptions and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Insurance Support: Assist patients in navigating insurance claims and verifying coverage for medications.
- Special Projects: Participate in health fairs and community outreach programs to promote pharmacy services.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current PTCB (Pharmacy Technician Certification Board) or ExCPT (National Healthcareer Association) certification is preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills for accurate dispensing.
- Flexibility: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
