Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage prescription medications according to doctor's orders and safety protocols.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription accuracy before dispensing.
- Assist pharmacists in the compounding and dispensing of pharmaceutical products.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and tracking medications.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering questions and offering health advice.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Process payments and handle insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) or state license.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (if required for shift coverage).
