Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify patient information
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and handle third-party billing
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with pharmacists on clinical tasks and documentation
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1) for dispensing
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Nevada state pharmacy license (or ability to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and drug interactions
