Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for customers in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medication usage and side effects.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing insurance claims and maintaining patient records.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Basic computer literacy and typing skills.
