Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and tracking controlled substances
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Assist in IV compounding and sterile product preparation
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related inquiries
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in Colorado (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year of retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of medication dispensing protocols and safety procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in high-pressure situations
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
