Responsibilities
- Accurately process and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and conducting cycle counts
- Verify insurance coverage and assist with patient billing inquiries
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and ensure patient record confidentiality
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Operate pharmacy technology systems efficiently (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license in Nevada
- Prior retail or hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy software
- High school diploma or equivalent required
