Responsibilities
- Dispense Prescription Medications: Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Medication Inventory: Manage inventory levels, conduct physical counts, and restock pharmaceutical supplies efficiently.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with patients and healthcare providers to answer questions regarding prescriptions and medications.
- Order Verification: Verify the accuracy of incoming prescriptions, checking for drug interactions and proper dosages.
- Compounding: Assist in the preparation of sterile and non-sterile compounds as required.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with local, state, and federal pharmacy regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification: PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy management systems (e.g., Cerner, McKesson).
