Responsibilities
- Accurately process and dispense prescription medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure safety and compliance.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves, checking expiration dates, and processing orders.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Prepare and package medication for delivery or patient pickup.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; state license required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software systems is a plus.
