Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and prepare prescriptions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical products.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform routine tasks such as compounding medications, maintaining clean and sanitary work areas, and operating pharmacy equipment.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions efficiently.
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Current Illinois Pharmacy Technician license.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, pharmacists, and medical staff.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy management software.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
