Responsibilities
- Process prescription orders accurately and efficiently using pharmacy management software.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing according to safety protocols.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to ensure compliance.
- Manage inventory levels, restock supplies, and perform monthly counts.
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications.
- Assist the Pharmacist with compounding and special medication orders.
- File insurance claims and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as required.
- Basic computer proficiency and typing skills.
