Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients with precision and care.
- Verify patient information and insurance details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving shipments and organizing stock.
- Assist pharmacists with compounding medications and performing quality control checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving concerns.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with health regulations.
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (ExCPT, CPhT, or state equivalent) required.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage calculations, and medical terminology.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred but not always required.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients and staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
