Responsibilities
- Receive and verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries, insurance verification, and payment processing.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve complex medication orders and provide feedback.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace in accordance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Valid Missouri Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory.
