Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications to patients under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications
- Assist in preparing sterile compounds and IV medications when required
- Provide excellent customer service and answer patient inquiries about medications
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow and operations
- Perform point-of-sale transactions and handle insurance claims processing
Qualifications
- Current and valid Pharmacy Technician license in the state of California
- Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician in a retail or hospital setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, medications, and healthcare regulations
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy management software
