Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information and prescription details to ensure safety and compliance with state regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical products.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients, answering questions regarding prescriptions and medication usage.
- Assist in processing insurance claims and co-pay transactions.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.
- Current state of Kentucky Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
