Core Responsibilities
- Verify and process prescription orders for accuracy, checking for drug interactions and allergies.
- Prepare and package medications for dispensing to patients.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving deliveries, stocking shelves, and ordering supplies.
- Assist patients with medication inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Process insurance claims and handle financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility for certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software systems (e.g., Cerner, McKesson).
