Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Verify prescriptions for appropriateness and accuracy in strict accordance with state and federal laws.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist patients with medication questions and provide clear instructions on usage and potential side effects.
- Operate pharmacy management software systems and handle cash transactions with precision.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by PTCB or ExCPT required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and math skills.
