Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently to ensure patient safety.
- Assist pharmacists in the dispensing process and provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Manage inventory levels, perform stock counts, and order pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for billing accuracy.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and pharmacy safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to resolve medication inquiries and improve workflow.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to sit for certification exams (PTCB/ExCPT).
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
- Valid state pharmacy technician license (if required by TN regulations).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and medication handling.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs safely.
