Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, and mix medications.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient information for billing accuracy.
- Assist customers with medication questions and provide exceptional customer service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or registration with the Louisiana Board of Pharmacy required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and drug interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid Louisiana driver’s license and reliable transportation (for on-site duties).
