As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in the medication distribution process, ensuring safety and accuracy for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to strict state and federal regulations.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for accuracy.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical products.
- Assist pharmacists with the compounding of medications and preparation of intravenous solutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications and insurance.
- Process cash and credit transactions and manage the point-of-sale system efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current NYS (New York State) Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) license or equivalent.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software is a plus.
