Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure strict compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment in strict adherence to health and safety protocols.
- Process insurance claims and handle cash transactions efficiently at the point of sale.
- Assist patients with medication counseling, answer inquiries, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and verifying the accuracy of pharmaceutical stock.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; PTCB or ExCPT certification is preferred.
- Current California Pharmacy Technician license (RPhTech) is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical terminology, dosage forms, and drug interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail and high-level organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Effective communication skills with both medical staff and patients.
