Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense and verify prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory and coordinate medication orders
- Maintain precise patient records and insurance documentation
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure strict compliance with FDA, DEA, and HIPAA regulations
- Operate pharmacy dispensing technology and automated systems
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care
Qualifications
- Active Florida Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation
- Background check and drug screen required
