Responsibilities
- Accurately process prescriptions and verify medication orders under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, stock medications, and maintain pharmacy records
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Assist with immunizations and health screenings (post-training)
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED required)
- Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn pharmacy systems
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license within 6 months of hire
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain during training
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
