Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, including allergies and current medications, to ensure safety.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions with precision.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and order pharmaceutical supplies as needed.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions and resolving inquiries regarding medications.
- Assist in the compounding of medications when necessary.
- Ensure the pharmacy is clean, organized, and compliant with all state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered California Pharmacy Technician license (CPT or RPhT).
- Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy terminology, drug interactions, and dosage calculations.
- Proficiency in using pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Valid CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
