Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Process insurance claims and manage patient billing inquiries
- Maintain proper inventory control and medication storage
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FDA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Operate pharmacy software and automated dispensing systems
- Assist with prescription compounding and sterile preparations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication issues
Qualifications
- Active NJ Pharmacy Technician license or ability to obtain within 30 days
- 1+ years of pharmacy technician experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical math
