As a Pharmacy Technician at Apex Pharmacy Partners, you will be the vital link between our pharmacists and our patients, ensuring safe and efficient medication distribution. We value accuracy, compassion, and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with state and federal laws.
- Verify prescription orders for completeness, accuracy, and proper patient information.
- Assist customers with prescription transfers, refill requests, and general pharmacy inquiries.
- Manage inventory levels, perform stock counts, and restock shelves as needed.
- Operate pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, McKesson) and point-of-sale systems.
- Ensure the pharmacy area is clean, organized, and adheres to safety and sanitation standards.
- Collaborate with the Pharmacist to review prescriptions for potential drug interactions.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or certification in progress is highly preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent mathematical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Previous experience working in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software.
