Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and fill prescriptions under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and medication history to ensure compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient inquiries regarding medications and insurance coverage.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including receiving shipments, checking stock, and placing orders.
- Assist with over-the-counter sales, compounding, and special orders as needed.
- Adhere strictly to all state and federal laws, regulations, and pharmacy standards.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software systems.
