Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to physician orders and state regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the Pharmacist in the compounding of medications and quality assurance checks.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing insurance claims, and addressing patient concerns.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA privacy policies and pharmacy safety protocols.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate patient records within the pharmacy management system.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a busy environment.
- Valid Oklahoma Pharmacy Technician license.
