Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory, ordering, and stock rotation of pharmaceutical products
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with FDA, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy regulations
- Assist with immunizations and health screenings when qualified
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure pharmacy environment
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in District of Columbia
- Minimum 1 year experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Excellent attention to detail and mathematical accuracy skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., Omnicell, QS/1)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or equivalent required
