Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify patient information
- Manage inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing inquiries
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and strict confidentiality standards
- Collaborate with pharmacists to optimize workflow
- Prepare sterile compounds and assist with compounding duties
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy software and automation
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Attention to detail and accuracy in high-volume environments
- Background check and drug screen required
