Responsibilities
- Perform accurate blood draws and specimen collection using provided equipment
- Ensure proper specimen handling, labeling, and documentation procedures
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control protocols
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Operate and maintain phlebotomy equipment per manufacturer guidelines
- Collaborate with healthcare team for seamless patient care
- Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and CLIA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Louisiana Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency in venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
