Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with precision and minimal discomfort.
- Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and infection control protocols.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized phlebotomy workstation and inventory.
- Accurately label, log, and transport specimens to the laboratory for processing.
- Interact professionally with patients to alleviate anxiety and explain procedures clearly.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications
- Current California State Phlebotomy Technician Certification (CPT) or Medical Assistant Certification (RMA/CMA).
- Valid California State License.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent dexterity and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
