Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with precision and care.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the collection process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and laboratory documentation.
- Sort, label, and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis and transport.
- Adhere to strict infection control, safety, and OSHA protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with patients and medical staff to ensure accurate specimen handling.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Certified Phlebotomist (CP) certification required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or lab setting preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation to various medical facilities.
