Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages with precision and empathy.
- Label, process, and accurately store blood specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations and infection control standards.
- Maintain accurate patient records and demonstrate exceptional bedside manner.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and laboratory staff.
- Maintain and sterilize phlebotomy equipment and supplies.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA) required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
