- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision
- Process and label specimens accurately following HIPAA and CLIA guidelines
- Maintain patient comfort and safety during blood draws
- Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Document patient data and specimen information in EHR systems
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure timely specimen processing
- Adhere to infection control protocols and quality assurance standards
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience preferred
- Valid Michigan phlebotomy license
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in specimen handling and processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
