- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control procedures
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Update electronic health records (EHR) with specimen details
- Collaborate with nursing staff for patient preparation
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Excellent venipuncture skills with low-miss rate
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-volume settings
- Knowledge of specimen handling and processing protocols
- Background check and drug screen clearance
