Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to strict laboratory protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in our EMR system
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized, calibrated, and HIPAA-compliant
- Provide compassionate patient education during blood collection procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers for seamless care coordination
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control guidelines
Qualifications
- Active California Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture, capillary draws, and specimen handling
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to calm anxious patients
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
