Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy following HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and workstations per OSHA standards
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize workflow efficiency
- Document all procedures in electronic health records (EHR) systems
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP/NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in hospital or lab setting
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Proficiency in EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal patient discomfort
- Strong attention to detail and specimen handling protocols
- Fluent in English/Spanish bilingual communication skills
