Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures with precision and patient comfort
- Process and label specimens following HIPAA and CLIA compliance standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation systems
- Ensure proper specimen handling, storage, and transportation protocols
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-volume testing scenarios
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient workflow
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and specimen processing
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Excellent communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Basic computer literacy and EHR experience
- Valid CPR certification
