Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA regulations
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EHR systems
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of biological samples
- Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as needed
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety protocols and infection control
- Excellent venipuncture skills with diverse patient populations
- Proficiency in LIS/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
