Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient demographics
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA standards
- Maintain sterile equipment and inventory in compliance with OSHA guidelines
- Provide patient education and ensure comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory staff for efficient specimen handling
- Document patient data using EHR systems with 100% accuracy
- Adhere to infection control protocols and waste management procedures
Qualifications
- Current ASCP or NHA phlebotomy certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid Wisconsin Phlebotomy Technician license
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in LIS/EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner)
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for diverse patient interactions
- Ability to multitask in high-volume settings
- High school diploma or equivalent required
