Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture, capillary, and microcollection procedures with precision
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA/HIPAA standards
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
- Ensure proper handling and transport of biological specimens
- Deliver patient-centered care during high-volume collections
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and infection control measures
- Collaborate with lab staff to resolve specimen discrepancies
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or AMT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Valid CPR/BLS certification
- Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to lift 15 lbs and stand for extended periods
