Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections with precision and minimal patient discomfort
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA and CLIA standards
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic documentation systems
- Ensure equipment calibration and infection control protocols compliance
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow and efficiency
- Provide patient education on pre-test procedures and sample handling
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a hospital or lab setting
- BLS/CPR certification from recognized provider
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
