Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and label specimens according to CLIA and HIPAA protocols
- Operate automated analyzers and maintain equipment calibration
- Document patient interactions and test results in electronic health records
- Collaborate with physicians and lab staff for accurate diagnostic testing
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or AMT)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care setting
- CPR/BLS certification from American Heart Association
- Proficiency in LIS/HIS systems (Epic preferred)
- Exceptional venipuncture skills with pediatric geriatric populations
- Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work rotating weekends and holidays
