Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collection following HIPAA protocols
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Utilize LIS systems for specimen tracking and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure timely processing
- Adhere to OSHA and CLIA compliance guidelines
Qualifications
- Current Indiana Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Successful background check and drug screen
