Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Operate and maintain provided phlebotomy equipment (needles, tourniquets, collection tubes)
- Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
- Train patients on pre-procedure requirements for accurate results
- Document all procedures in electronic health records system
Qualifications
- Current Texas Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- 1+ years of clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Proficiency with provided phlebotomy equipment and technology
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal patient discomfort
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced medical environments
- Valid CPR certification
