Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Label, log, and process blood specimens according to strict laboratory protocols and safety standards.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a positive and calming experience.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile work environment.
- Collaborate with nurses and lab staff to ensure timely specimen delivery and result reporting.
- Verify patient identity and medical history prior to blood collection.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or certification in progress.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Basic computer proficiency for data entry.
