Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and label specimens accurately for laboratory testing
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care during high-stress procedures
- Document collection data in electronic health records (EHR)
- Collaborate with nursing and lab staff for seamless patient flow
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior phlebotomy experience necessary
- Willingness to complete our paid 6-week training program
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Basic computer literacy for EHR systems
- Background check and drug screen clearance
